  1. Mobilise top-up funding from current funding partners and arrangements to increase investment capital.
  2. Establish and operationalise diversified sinking and revolving funds through use of various multilateral financial partners

Establish partnerships with profit and non profit making organisations

Strategies/ Activities

  1. Collaborate with profit and non-profit organisations to develop and implement innovative conservation projects within Eastern Arc Mountains in areas of  tourism, agriculture, water, energy, conservation, communication, hospitality, and construction  sub sectors
  2. Develop and implement Payments for Eco-systems in collaboration with utility agencies.
  3. Establish partnership with international NGOs and Foundations to access financial and technical assistance
  4. Establish north-south twinning conservation projects between rural communities within Eastern Arc Mountains and rural villages in Europe and America
  5. Mobilise resource for investment in local companies enlisted in the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange

The Eastern Arc Mountains Conservation Endowment Fund (EAMCEF) is a Trust Fund that was established and functions as a long-term and reliable funding mechanism to support Community Development, Biodiversity Conservation and Applied Research Projects, which promote the biological diversity, ecological functions and sustainable use of natural resources in the Eastern Arc Mountains of Tanzania.

In another initiative, currently EAMCEF is implementing the Project ‘Improving Conservation of the Eastern Arc Mountains Forests of Tanzania’ through the funding from the Royal Norwegian Embassy  for the period of four years i.e. 2011 -2016. Regalia Media has partnered with EAMCEF to implement the awareness raising on EAMCEF to enhance the resource mobilization.

The Goal of the Project is “Through improved operations of EAMCEF achieve enhanced conservation of the forests within the Eastern Arc Mountains in Tanzania” and the Purpose of the Project is “Allow existing $7.5 million endowment to grow through funding EAMCEF operations in the office and in the field for 5 years, permitting EAMCEF to function as a long term funding mechanism for conservation of the Eastern Arc Mountains”.
